Re: Future Of Windows Media Player

Oh heaven forbid people should use another player! I know Winamp isn't
being developed anymore and i know it's basicly a dead product, but i've
used it since its inseption back in 98 and I'll probably always use it,
until something that beats it comes along, and I haven't found it yet.

Greetings,

What kind of background noise is it? Hiss? Hum? static? People?

If hum or rumble such as is made by a cassette internal mike picking up
the

machine's motor, in effect menu and filters, go to low/high pass, enter
(say) 70 in cut-off and ensure high pass is selected, leave rest to
default

and hum should go. I've not really played much with other filters.

I knew that was the case for Windows Media Center. I hadn't heard that WMP
was going away as well.

Actually Windows Media Player doesn't have one as of Windows 10 so people
will have to think about using another player such as VLC etc.

RE: Ripping With WMP

2015-06-07 Thread Adrian Spratt
This suggestion was posted by Kevin Hourigan on a JAWS list. I can't vouch for
them because I haven't tried them.

1. Open WMP, and it says Turn repeat on button .
2. Press Alt O, arrow down to options, and press enter.
3. Press control tab to rip CD page.
4. Tab around to what you want.

Running Win7 64-bit and can't find how to rip to mp3 using WMP. Would
appreciate either simple instructions or being pointed to a tutorial.
Thanks.
