Hi, was wondering the same thing .
So I asked a sound engineer friend of mine.
The story is, the surface layer of the disk, i.e.. the data layer where
the information is burnt, is the same.
The difference is that if you buy music cdrws, some royalty money go's
off to the record companies.
So buy
Hi, does anyone know where I can get Sound forge 6 and how much does it cost?
Second, is Sound forge shareware? I am looking for Sound forge 6 because I use

PC-Audio List Help,
Well, it's true the visual features are
not user-friendly for visually impaired,
but I love the boombox anyway. Nothing
can persuade me to throw away that
receiver or anything I like so much just
because the display cannot be accessed.

Hello List!
I recently signed up for the XM Radio Online Service. I have been able to play
a few stations online, but for the most part, it is a hit and miss proposition.
I emailed XM Radio with my complaints and asked them for a better way of
accessing their stations online. They say they
Cdex is the best. I think I got it at www.whitestick.co.uk.

Hi Chris. You can put a lot more music on a data CD than you can with an

Hi, Gang! Well, I took some of yous guys's advice and downloaded the
Goldwave shareware to make its acquaintance. Short of going over this
manual about a hundred times, can somebody direct me as to how to navigate
around and edit a file? I know how to record something but don't know how

Does it support .ape [it's like an mp3 but with .wav sound quality]?

Yeah! playing MP3's shouldn't be a problem but playing DVD'S is another matter
though the odd thing is that you can get smaller players (the walkman type)
that will handle DVD'S and MP3's.

Just to clarify things, the yamaha burner to which I referred is a stand
alone burner that burns audio cds only, and you have to burn them on discs
called audio discs. It will accept both cdr and cdrw audio discs, but it
won't accept data discs of either type, and it won't burn data at all. I
Hi Cris,
That can be said of any cd.
There are too many factors involved, in burning cd's,
to say with absolute certainty that one way is really better than another.
Prime example, I have been burning, erasing, and re-burning on the same
cdrw's,
for the last 9 months.

Thanks for this info. But, I guess I'm a bit dense. I've seen all these
controls but am not using them correctly. My sighted husband is just as
confused. Do you somehow have to go to the control window, I guess? I was
messing around with a file I opened up in Goldwave. I placed a bracket
Kathy,
Before you start to record a new file you have to press

to record at, whether you want to record in stereo or mono

I found it on EBay a few months ago. The person sold it very cheaply
and I was glad to get it since I don't currently have the funds for SF
