The trick to it is, having the correct drivers for that hard drive installed
on your computer.
Does your girl friend have them on her computer?
Another thing you may want to think about, is the type of operating system
she's running.
Windows XP will find the drivers for you and auto install it for you.
But if it is a operating system that came out before Windows XP, you will
need to install the drivers yourself.
Good luck, I hope this helps you and your girl friend.

RE: multi channel recording??

2007-11-02 Thread Ray's Home
We are talking here about 'multi-track recording aren't we? Not
multi-channel, which is what Sound Forge 9 does.

Yes, Sonar does seem to be the only choice for multi-track recording,
at least that I've heard of. $300.00 seems a hell of a lot extra on
top of the cost of JFW for access to it, but I suppose if you are
actually earning your living using it, it may be tax deductable, or
else someone else is paying the bill! If Window-Eyes is working well
with it, I'd better take a look.

What's the state of play with Audacitywhich is free? As far as I
know the multi-track facility hadn't been implemented beyond two
tracks a few months ago.

Cheers,

Olympus ws player help wanted

2007-11-02 Thread Bobcat
I'm trying out an Olympus WS-331m recorder.

I have a lot of it worked out but am having trouble selecting folders in
music mode. It seems the folder button isn't used for this purpose in music
mode. I'm trying to get to the root folder.

Anyone know the trick?

Thanks.

Bob

Re: replay av question

2007-11-02 Thread Sunshine
yes, you have to create the file manually and place it in the conversation
folder then restart replay av and it will be in the converting table for you
to choose from

Subject: replay av question

 hello all,
i just upgraded to replay av 8.
 i hitt upon the following:
in replay av 7 i could convert my captured file to mpe with a 192 bitrate.
in the new replay i have more formats but when i select the mp3 format i
 only see:
 128 k bps, 16, 32 and 64.
 i want a higher bitrate than 128.
is there still a way to get that?
 aad
