I love my UMAX scanner. My photographer friends swear by them for the high
resolution which also helps us with very small print scanning.

If you are looking for a single sheet scanner then the most cost effective
in terms of scan quality, ease of use and cost is the HP G3110. Not sure
what the model number would be in your part of the world but look at the
site www.hp.com under scanners for home and home office. Navigation
Discussing scanners is off topic for the pc audio list.

But how do scan a book in that scanner without tearing it up or making
a copy which takes a lot of time all by itself?
I use the Optic Book 360 -- I think they have changed the model number
-- and its very nice for scanning books. Its a book edge scanner.

Can I also suggest blindtech-subscr...@yahoogroups.com, as well as
blind-computing-j...@jaws-users.com? These are lists also dealing with
computers, although Blindtech focuses on other technologies, hence tech.

I have goldwave configured the way I want it for CD ripping, except for one
thing. Is there a way to get each CD to go into a separate folder as it
would with CDex?
