Subject: Looking for professional Normalizing software for the Mac

Hi there. The subject line pretty much says what I'm looking for. This
software needs to satisfy clients who will be paying for my work. So of
course, though I am on a budget, I'm willing to pay for what I need.

I'm also wondering if there is anything other than Amadeus pro that I
might want to add for audio editing on the Mac. I also have access to
windows and have several software packages for that operating system, but
I plan to work primarily on the Mac. Editing will be done for voice,
music, and voice mixed with music.

If you have any thoughts, I'd be grateful if you would send them along.

Thanks in advance.

Larry

Re: rockbox and talk clips

2010-09-18 Thread Gary King
That's why I never updated my Rockbox on the iRiver h120 when the final
release version finally came out. I wasn't sure whether to install over the
top of the beta on the iRiver or remove everything and start from scratch.
I've got so many things that play music now that it hardly matters. I use
the iPod Touch most of the time. Even the new Apple 4th Generation 2GB
Shuffle costing around $48 talks with VoiceOver now. Do I really need it?
No! But I'll probably get one anyway.

I finally decided to update rockbox on my iriver h10 and now my talk clips
for files and folders won't work anymore. Do I need to regenerate them and
what is thought to be the most stable versions of the firmware and voices?
I was running a version from a couple years ago and just installed 3.6.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Replay AV, and javascript

2010-09-18 Thread Larry Higgins

Hello to Replay AV users,

My question to you all is simply this. Will Replay AV background
record javascript streams? I am currently using Total Recorder, and
let me say, I love it. However, I consider it rather frustrating that
there is no way to background record some streams, especially those
that require javascript, as well as those that are found on the Radio
Time site that make use of an embedded player of some type.

If I recall, when using Radio Time, TR tells me that such a file
cannot be recorded in such a way, and I think it might be related to
either scripting or an embedded player arrangement. Anyway, does
Replay AV present a work around for this problem, or are there
methods of capturing audio pretty much the same. Hope this is making
some kinda sense g.

Thanks,

Larry

Re: rockbox and talk clips

2010-09-18 Thread Betsy
I did recreate the clips with voicebox plus and am quite pleased with the
3.6 update except for the voice with the english.zip file. Well worth the
hour or so it took me to do all of that since what I had was way out of
date.
