While I am certain that there are many people on the list who know far more
than I do about Minidisk recorders, the settings for longer recording times
are set in the menu's. You may need sighted assistance to accomplish your
purpose.

MP3 player talks, do you mean that the player talks, or the computer when
the Archos is connected?

Hi Jerry,
I think that's what I was referring to. It was my mistake for using

You might also look at the R. C. A. sold at Wal-Mart. Not only can you
append, but also delete in the middle of the recording, and insert anywhere

However, the method is a bit clutsy. The quality of the recording is good

Designed specifically for that purpose, is Studio Recorder from the American
Printing house for the Blind. If you can afford the $200, or there abouts,
it will serve very well. I am amazed that more blind people in the

For the last several Sundays, I have been trying to record a 4 hour long
program, from 8 P. M. to 12 A. M. and was able to do it with version 6.
However, now I get nothing but the promo's which begin each program from
National Public Radio. There were 832 such promo's the next morning. I
Deane,
I am certainly grateful for your very kind offer. I am going to give it
another try this Sunday to see what happens.
While I am at it, another big thank you for all you do for the Blind
community. The TopDotEnterprises news letter Thursdays are both enjoyable
and very useful.
