as it doesn't require a file
manager for transferring files. My friend has one from Sony and the
program used, something called sonic stage is rather messy with Jaws.

said before, I would be happy with a machine that I could simply hook
up to the Usb port on the PC and just drag files into it and as long as I
know where the basic navigation keys on the player are that would be fine.

Actually I have found that alt+r can be used to start and stop recording.
You need to use jaws key numpad 3 to read the status bar to tell if it is
playing or recording.

didn't learn too much about the player itself.

I believe that is the most recent one, or at least that's the one I've
seen on the winmxworld site.

PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines,
Well, for what it's worth, I have subscribed to the list but haven't seen
any messages yet, so such an animal does exist.

I've been having a look at the site, but I can't seem to igure out what
their monthly subscription costs. I don't care about the napster to go
service, but when looking to find out what the monthly fee is I just can't
seem to find it.
also do you know how the player is with Jaws?

Actually I believe in the ME eddition you can simply type command from
the run dialog and it will give you a dos window. I think the prompt will
be c:\windows.
HTH.
