Probably mscdex.
Obviously depends on experience, and if ripping is the only task you
want to perform given other tasks available in the ripping package. .

Re: Anyone using the lame mp3 encoder with audio grabber?

2008-01-14 Thread Don Ball
yes copy the lame eng.dll to either the audiograbber directory or the
windows\system32 directory. then when you choose the mp3 player settings and
tabe over to internal encoder the lame encoder will be listed there.

Hey guys,
OK, got a bit of an issue. Anyone use audio grabber?
Here's the problem. I can rip tracks with no problem, but when they get
played in winamp, it says track, and then it looks like it gives the
track number off the CD. However, I have named it to artist - title. Any
ideas?

Thanks,
Jed

2007-01-08 Thread anthony campbell
hi jed, did you get the track list from the database.

here is what you do.

open audio grabber with your disk in the drive.

fill in the artist and album title.

then hit alt c and then hit f .

this will take you to the database and you should get your track list. you
may have to tab after hitting the alt c and f key because they might be more
than one listing in the database. just pick the first one and press entre
you will now have the track list and just do alt c and g for grab.

Renaming tracks with audio grabber

2006-10-23 Thread Jed Barton
Hey guys,
OK, now that I'm running audio grabber, I'm having an issue re-naming
tracks.
What I want to have happen is I rip a track, and then I go in to the folder
where that track was ripped to, and re-name it to something like
Rob Thomas - Streetcorner Symphony.mp3

Here's the problem. When I rename the track to that, it doesn't show up
that way in winamp. It shows up as track1.mp3.
Now, when you load audio grabber under the general settings there is a view,
and it has 4 things.

Artist name
Album name
Track number
Track name

The issue, you can't tell what ones are checked, and what ones are not
checked. When you press space bar on any of these, it repeats what one
you're on. Anyone ever had this problem?
I need to have it so that when I do a right click on the file and rename it,
it'll show up in winamp exactly the way that I name the file. Any ideas on
how to fix this?

Thanks,
Jed

Major audio grabber problem

2006-10-22 Thread Jed Barton
OK guys, I found how to select the mp3 encoder, but having amajor problem
with audio grabber, and I can't figure out why, cause it seems to run OK.
What's happening, I go in and select the directory and tracks that I want to
rip.
Then I click on grab. It literally takes about 2 to 5 seconds, then brings
me back to the list of tracks. If I go in to the directory, it'll show an
mp3. However, the average size is 300K.
It of course is not the complete file, and in fact winamp can't play it.
The only way to seem to correct this issue is to re-install audio grabber,
than it acts normally.
Needless to say to have to re-install after every CD is not acceptable, any
ideas?
It almost seems like something is corrupt.
Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jed

when you have checked the presence of laneenc.dll in the a g directory,
go to the option / mp3 settings menu
and select the audio format and encoder used from there.

lame is in the internal encoder and it's selected by default
