One thing that Winamp used to do is have the ability to scan an mp3 file and
fill in the tag info. This worked well even if there was no tag in the file.
Unfortunately Winamp doesn't do this anymore. Is there a program to do what I
want? This even worked if the file names were

Now this is a line of options I haven’t fully explored as I’ve had no real need
to but the only player I know of that would fit your requirements is iTunes
which does have those sorts of functions built-in to it.
