Hi folks Last night while reading e-mail on another list completely unrelated to anything of interest to audio enthusiasts, a buddy of mine said that he figured out how to get the library in 5.2 to read, so naturally I read on. Here's what you have to do to get it to work, at least with JAWS 7.0, you Window-eyes dudes will have to figure it out, maybe there's a workaround for you too.
1. Open the library, and go to the online services section and press right arrow to open it. 2. Now arrow down to Shoutcast radio. 3. Now here's where it gets kinda tricky. First you'll need to press insert plus z to turn on your JAWS virtual cursor. 4. In the original directions, my friend told me to left click, this is to say to press the left mouse button, located 2 keys to the left of the numpad slash key, usually used for switching to different cursors. What *should* happen is a web page should come into focus. You should then be able to search for more stations and pressing enter on them starts a station playing. This is absolutely not a perfect solution because there are still some accessibility concerns. For example, if you move focus away from the library and go back to it, you need to do the the turn on the virtual and left click shuffle, and in some cases, you may even need to route your pc cursor to your JAWS cursor to bring things into focus. So again this is not a perfect solution, but it's a lot better than it was before. It gets us where we need to be, but the interface will hopefully get better soon. I'm sure that maybe some JAWS scripts could be made so that when focusing on that part of the library the webpage can grab the focus. Anyways, I thought I'd bring this to your attention. I'm planning on writing to the developers and tell them of my findings and tell them we're a little further along, but most definitely not there yet. _______________________________________________ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com.
