Dear all,

There was a good consensus in adopting
draft-dhody-pce-pcep-service-awarehttp://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-dhody-pce-pcep-service-aware-05.txt
as a PCE WG document but as usual, we would like to confirm on the mailing

Please express your opinion Yes/No (comments welcome too).

As discussed during the PCE WG meeting today where we had some support

Would you be in favor/opposed (and why if you want to justify) of

Re: [Pce] FW: New Version Notification for draft-alvarez-pce-path-profiles-04.txt

2014-11-10 Thread Tarek Saad (tsaad)
Hi authors,

Currently, the document proposes a numbered-based ID for the profiles. The
name-based IDs are in practice more favourable in deployment (an example
is the symbolic name for PCE instantiated LSP).
Do you plan to extend the PATH-PROFILE object to carry textual based IDs?
Also, it would be useful to clarify the scope of the PP IDs-- e.g. between
PCEP peer pairs, or global across the network/PCEs..
For example, upon (re)delegation of LSPs from a PCE to alternate PCE, is
the expectation that such PP-IDs can change?

Tarek

 A new version of I-D, draft-alvarez-pce-path-profiles-04.txt
has been successfully submitted by Santiago Alvarez and posted to the
 IETF repository.

 Name:draft-alvarez-pce-path-profiles

 Diff: http://www.ietf.org/rfcdiff?url2=draft-alvarez-pce-

 Abstract:
This document describes extensions to the Path Computation Element
(PCE) Communication Protocol (PCEP) to signal path profile
identifiers. A profile represents a list of path parameters or
policies that a PCEP peer may invoke on a remote peer using an
 opaque
identifier. When a path computation client (PCC) initiates a path
computation request, the PCC can signal profile identifiers to
 invoke
path parameters or policies defined on the PCE which would influence
the path computation. Similarly, when a PCE initiates or updates a
path, the PCE can signal profile identifiers to invoke path
parameters or policies defined on the PCC which would influence the
path setup.

Please note that it may take a couple of minutes from the time of
submission until the htmlized version and diff are available at
 tools.ietf.org.

Subject: [Pce] Poll for adoption: draft-palle-pce-stateful-pce-p2mp-09

All,

This is start of a two week poll on making draft-palle-pce-stateful-pce-p2mp-09
a PCE working group document. This draft fills a gap in explaining how
stateful PCE can be applied to P2MP paths.

https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-palle-pce-stateful-pce-p2mp/

Please review the draft and send an email to the list indicating “yes/support”
or “no/do not support”. If indicating no, please state your reasons. If yes,
please also feel free to provide comments you'd like to see addressed once the
document is a WG document.

The poll ends on Tuesday July 12.

Thanks,

Jon, JP and Julien
