Aside from the great info from others here you might want to consider
whether differences in format will affect how this disc is created. In
north america we use the NTSC format but elsewhere it's the PAL format,
and unfortunately they are not interchangeable.

England a DVD with jpeg photos on it, so her mother can put the CD/DVD in her
DVD player and see the wedding pictures
How do you make the CD/DVD autoplay and what other software? is required ?

The important thing is the CD/DVD goes in a DVD player not a computer and then
autoplays, for a 88 year old Lady.
Anthing which acceves this will do.

What's needed to view the pictures is an image viewer. I think most
versions of Windows include a simple image viewer.
