Hi,
i made that work using [switch~] in a subpatch, but be aware that you
have to fade out in advance to switching off, unless the last signal
block appearing on the outlet of that subpatch gets repeated over and
over, resulting in a high-pitched sound.

i've tried a lot of things to play audio and video in sync.
there's one technique that's really reliable and that works
on all platforms with gem and/or pdp. i've posted it here a while
back - here is it again:
you'll have to split the audio and the video into individual files and play
them

Those are old and defunct. [comport] is the only maintained one, and
it works well. There have been a number of important changes in the
last few months, so use a current version.
