Hey guys -
I'm not entirely sure if this is the correct place for this question but
here goes:
I consider myself to be fairly proficient with pd and recently I have been
getting excited about python through a computer science class at my
university. I was especially excited to learn that it is pos

Hmm, i guess you're right.
Well, just for the record, i got feedback from a fellow max user and i
In 0, 0, 1, 2, 3, etc.
Between 0 and 0 there is no 'time' in logical time. It is like a
[trigger].
So, using a change to get 0, 1, 2, 3 should be OK.

Yes, but why repeat 0 while going from 0 to 10?
For example, if you want to go from -10 to 0 and then from there to 10 you
would get something like:
... -3 -2 -1 0 (pause) 0 1 2 3 ...
here
First, you output 0, then you go from 0 to 10 in 200 ms, no ?

Hi, you may find interesting this tutorial by Max Neupert:

then there are few useful patches in:

this is just to start.

Maybe you want PDa? It would be a lot faster on armel for DSP stuff
at least. As for an armel build of Pd-extended, that would be nice.
Since you have a armel machine running, how about trying to build it?
Just post here with any questions or problems, and we can get it going.

Hi,
I've get a try to install puredata from Debian repositery in armel.deb format,
on the Openmoko's Freerunner.
Pure Data is a little bit slow, but that seems enough performant to use with
[netsend] [netreceive] or othe minimal tasks.
What about Pd-Extended?
It will be great to have a Debian
Wow Cyrille, that was right on the spot!
With the mentioned version of Ubuntu, first installing the libv4l-dev
package and then rebuilding Gem just like I did previously solved it all.
Thanks again!

Yes those websites always list the public/external IP address for your
WAN. You need the LAN IP address which you can get by right-clicking
your internet connection icon in the panel or typing ifconfig in a
terminal. It should be something like 192.168.0.X or 10.0.0.X.

For now I'm trying to test the concept by connecting one machine to another and

it look like the Gem your using is not compiled with v4l2 suport.
i have somthing like this when creating pix_video :
[pix_video]: video driver 0: video4linux2 v4l2
[pix_video]: video driver 1: video4linux v4l
[pix_video]: video driver 2: ieee1394 dv4l dv
so, for me V4L2 is default.

Hi all,
This may not be specific to Pd/Gem..
I have a webcam I am trying to get working with [pix_video] in the
following environment.
- Ubuntu Studio 9.04,
- Pd-extended 0.41.4 (.deb for the above distro)
- Gem 0.92.2
The camera works fine with Skype for Linux and v4l-test.
However, when
