Hey folks, I really suck at compiling objects, and I'm getting this problem
that when I try to load the object I compiled in my mac os 10.6.7 I get
this Wrong architecture problem.
Is it a pretty straightforward situation or do I need to give out more info?
here's what's in the build file
more of the error as it presents itself;
../roughness.pd_darwin, 10): no suitable image found. Did find:
../roughness.pd_darwin: mach-o, but wrong architecture
cheers

Hello Tim,
You have to change the values in the perspec message to change the
frustum volume. Try something like [perspec -0.5 0.5 -0.5 0.5 0.5 20( -
instead of [perspec -1 1 -1 1 1 20( - and reduce these values if you
want.

Not sure this is the case, but had a similar issue compiling on a latest
mac.
With os 10.6 gcc compiles for 64bit architecture.
But you are most likely running the 32bit version of pd.
I had this issue compiling iemguts and found this post by Luke Iannini which
solved the problem:

Haven't seen that. I could check with pd (0.)43 again to see whether
that's the bug that GridFlow had with it.
this appears also on pd-extended-0.42.5

Will you release the source code and announce it ?
dunno, but i am very much in favor of almost hidden art in public spaces, which
doesn´t spring to the public eyes.
suprise is bigger when accidentally discovered.
an example (from my own work, sorry): soundchip mounted in a public trashcan in
budapest, which plays fuer elise, when someone throws

You're best bet is to use the library/makefile template, it'll handle
Debian/Ubuntu, GNU/Linux, Mac OS X Universal PowerPC/i386/x86_64,
Windows/MinGW, Windows/Cygwin, Android and iOS. With most objects,
you'll get that all with no extra effort:
I worked it out just putting: -m32
it makes it compile for 32bits
thanks

well, in 10.6 I believe you should be trying to build a .d_fat
external, not a .pd_darwin
so, you should be executing: make roughness.d_fat
and the make file something
