really i know close to nothing about midi handling in pd, but i remember reading somewhere that midi latency is connected to the audio latency because midi information is passed along with the audio. so, perhaps that has something to do with the message-length restriction?

[PD] pd alsamidi attaches to all midi i/o ports

I'm using pd with these arguments: -alsamidi -mididev 1 I'm using Pd version 0.42-3 When I start pd it connects its outputs to all available midi inputs and its inputs to all available midi outputs.. this is a huge annoyance, I'd prefer to have to manually connect to the one or two destinations
