Thanks, Thomas!
My wacom has just been lying around ever since I've been in mac world..
such a shame, it is so boring going back to a keyboard to make melodies.
Sorry to hear about your server, I hope you get it all fixed.

Take 3.25m and 10ms, then its more scale, I was just going with the
20ms number. Then you can look at the latency in many physical,
traditional instruments like the violin and there is probably more
than 20ms between action and sound.

did anyone used a fast camera (100 or 200 fps @ 640x480 or more, with good
video quality) with pd/Gem?
i'd like to have information about the camera and protocol how to do this.

Harmonia is kind of a Krautrock supergroup, so you could possibly find some

So if you are 7.5m away from one of your band mates, there will 20ms
of latency just from the sound travelling thru the air.

I saw Harmonia play about ten years ago, and I was disappointed that Michael
Rother did not play the guitar he had on stage. For me, the laptop based
stuff they do now has a lot less of the innovation and charm of their work
in the 70s.

I get good results with hauppage wintv cards + linux. You can find them
used for cheap. Support for dv input depends on the platform you are on.
If you just need camera input, you can use usb cams. Most of them are
supported, I use logitech cameras a lot. Macam is the driver on a mac.

Dear Pd users,
Can you please take a look in the attached patch and see if it's a corret
implementation of a spectral flux measure.
Basically it's:

Based on a definition here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spectral_flux
I guess you want to take the difference between the power spectral
densities (PSD) of successive blocks. Your fexpr~ statement won't do
that. You need to delay one copy of the PSD signal by a whole block
and subtract it from
