was gone, but in GEM my pictures were completely white,
only the background color was visible.
where outside GEM everything looked normal.
this was finally solved by defining a Depth in Xorg.conf.
probably the lack of this parameter made GEM say: using 8 color bits.

i have a bunch of PIII, 733Mhz, 512Mb.
Pd-0.42.5 runs smoothly on XP-pro.
today i tried the latest nightly-build of P-0.43:
it's not possible to open any patch,
not even regular help-patches.
Pd closes immediately; no warnings.
any suggestions on how to debug this?

You need to include the ./ since it is a local script like ./configure.
