You're correct about using [select], my messy version used moses with
a bang after it in a similar way. Actually, I guess the most complex
part of my patch WAS the integration of multiple counter modes. I'm
still stuck w/ spigot mayhem...curses!

Yeah, actually what I'm trying to do is a bit more complicated,
involving a counter that has 3 modes: 0: min -> max, 1: max -> min,
and 2: min -> max -> min -> max etc...
So I really just want to have the main functionality of the
cyclone/counter, but with it actually working when I try to change

What's that? A counter that count from 0 to N to 0?

This is a great little tutorial, but where is an elegant solution for
an updown-type counter? I made one a few weeks ago, but it was a mess
of spigots. I am curious if there is a more efficient (and readable)
way to do this with an idiom.

Attached to this mail is another, even more verbose counting-tutorial.

A lot of people that use Thunderbird sent attached patches "inline".
I'm not sure why. Might be a mime-type thing.

Because there's a namespace conflict with different [counter] objects
in different libraries. Why every library needed their own [counter]
with the same name but dif behavior, I have no idea.
Usually it is suggested to people that they build their own counters,
instead of relying on the pre-built
