I use Homebrew all the time. It’s great. Definitely nicer to use than macports. I prefer Homebrew as it uses as many of the built in programs and libs already on OSX. That means it’s *much* faster to install/build packages since most things don’t require as many dependencies. You can, of course,

This is what I do which is working fine for me on 10.11 and have been doing for many years. Create a virtual port in the Audio MIDI Setup app and have Pd use it: * open Audio MIDI Setup app (in /Applications/Utilities) * Window->Show MIDI Studio * Double click IAC Driver * Make sure the “Device
