It's most likely that you have "Dejavu" font installed on your system.

I think Rolf is using the 64bit 0.50. This one does not ship
pdfontloader so Pd is using default "courier" font.
Rolf can you switch the console's error log to 4 (all) and tell which
font Pd is using?
I have already spotted this on
Yes, I have! Now I see that the Pd 0.50 64-bit package doesn't include the
fontloader, but the 32-bit version does. I think you've already posted about
this on the list. Also, the "font" folder in the 64-bit version misses
DejaVuSansMono-Bold.ttf.

Hi list,
while trying out pd 0.5, I can start gem. When initializing gem, the
error appears: pthread_cond_timedwait_relative_np not found in
libwinpthread-1.dll [translated from German]. replacing the dll with the
one included in gem doesn't solve the problem.
Or could that be provoked by

Oops, correction: 64-bit 0.49 and 0.50, and 32-bit 0.50 look the same, but
32-bit 0.49 is larger and smudgy. (And let me know if you're seeing something
different :)

Hi Rolf -
I compared 0.49 and 0.50. It looks to me like the 64 bit version of 0.49 and
0.50, and the 32 bit version of 0.49, all look the same, but the 32-bit
version of 0.49 has everything larger and smudgy-looking (apparently
because Tcl/Tk was rescaling everything). The i386 version of 0.49
hi
