in the meantime, you could force running Max/MSP as amd64 code (i'm pretty sure that Max is a universal binary supporting both amd64 and arm64) I'll try that. I guess they use Max compiled for ARM but the pd~ external is compiled
for x86_64. The solution is to compile the pd~ external for ARM. Note
that Pd itself + the plugin scheduler ("pdsched") can still be x86_64
because they run as a seperate process.
