It looks like some final fixes are still in the works for PDL-2.008.
In the interest of marking progress, I plan to make a CPAN
developers release this afternoon with the current git master.
That will put another stake in the ground marking progress.

The Travis build of current master is going very slowly, but has all green
lights so far, including the key "dev EUMM" one.
Bad news: it's failing badly on my Win32 setup, with lots of crashing
through the test suite largely on calls to "maximum", with text like: "Free
to wrong pool 2e7b50 not
