novels but have pics on front and back and inside of dust cover.

There has been a Hoya/tokina connection for years, not sure exactly what
it was, but in the early 80's there were a pair of matching series of
excellent Hoya HMC and Tokina RMC lenses that were obviously made by the

has been registered on the SD cards, and it will take a good while to
sort them through. I also got to test a newly bought goose down
sleeping bag, and some really long-time exposures with the K20D. I
also landed myself

Don't worry Cotty, the decision on weather to build the K[X]D as a
24x36mm sensor or the 645D boils down to which is most likely to make
money for the Pentax imaging division. Still plenty of possibility for
a gustatory Gatsby rendezvous.

I'm sure there will, too. But I also expect any putative K30D would
be aimed at or below the K20D price point. I'd like to know whether
we were still likely to see a K2D or whatever; a somewhat more costly
camera, perhaps, but with some of the more esoteric features such as a
faster maximum
I'd love to see a second card slot. When I shoot a wedding, my heart is in my
throat until I get home and download the files to the comuter. A second card
would be very reassuring. I dont care if they call it K20D, or K2D, but we
eventually need the next step upgrade.

If you go to http://www.hoya.co.jp, Pentax is listed as a subsidiary but not
Tokina. Searching the site for Tokina gets zero hits.
Wikipedia and a few other sites indicate that Hoya supplies glass to Tokina,
but that Tokina is an independent company.

In Japan, it is very common for a company to hold another company's stock.
That's especially true when one company is a supplier to another company. It
seems likely to me that this is true of Hoya and Tokina, though I don't know
where a person could go to check on it.

I know what you mean about the gentleman. I waited quite a while for

Er, I meant digital-optimized 35mm lenses (like the D-FA macros).
All I know is, the DA lenses I own or have used perform immensely better
than older 35mm lenses on
