Nice shot. I like the way the bird --especially its head -- stands out
from the background so clearly.

Thanks Jack. I’m greatly improved. The heart surgery was to cure atrial
fibrillation, and it seems to have worked. The fall was just stupidity and
carelessness on my part. I missed a step walking upstairs and toppled over
backwards and down about five steps to the marble floor below. Luckily I
I printed the photo I took this afternoon. This is a phone pic so it’s a bit
off, but the print is a perfect match for what’s on my monitor. The Epson 2880
printer sat for two months. No clogging, no problems. Yes, the ink is
expensive, but I can print 12 x 18 images for less than $3 per. Not
Sorry to learn of such issues, Paul!
Hope you're past all that and coming
back strong with the Pentax treatment.

I’ve been laid up so I haven’t used my pigment ink 2880 in about two months.
I’ll print a pic and see what happens.

I rather suspect I haven't used it enough. Never was a prob with the
1290 but apparently is with the K3 pigment inks.

It’s been nearly two months since I went out to shoot critters. First there was
the heart surgery, and as soon as I had recovered, I fell backwards down the
stairs. Now, I’ve recovered for the most part, so I took advantage of some
relatively nice weather and went out to shoot. This isn’t a
Picked one up a few weeks ago and just got around to sticking on the K5.
Better than expected performance.
Will post some results tomorrow.

I'm using a Canon Pixma iX6520 which in current printer terms is
ancient, I got it when my extremely inexpensive, i.e. cheap, HP 13x19
inch printer's print cradle jammed, and HP didn't want to hear about it,
when I wanted it repaired after the warranty expired. I was willing to

I used a 2400 prior to the 2880. I probably made 1000 prints with it, all quite
nice. I only went to the 2880 when the band that moves with the carriage broke.
It was getting long in the tooth anyway. I think Mark used one for quite a few
years as well.

I’ve been using Edson printers for 20 years without problems. Had some minor
