Ann, the lens was a DA 16~45.
I'm going to always wonder exactly how far that standing pine actually is from
the wall. The walk from a parking spot to this site is sort of a rough one, so
will probably not ever really know. The scene turned out to be

I can't recall the relative distance between the near building wall and the
burned stump.
Wife and I took a drive to Lake Tahoe yesterday. Was a beautiful Fall weather
day, but we missed the peak fall colors.
Found a cabin and out building with just one standing side and another unique
scene along the shore of the lake.
Comments invited.

And the second shot, you guys channeling Kennebunkport, Maine?
Break the law and get your representation all in one stop. :-)

Actually, in California it can. If you completely tear down your house
*except for one wall* you can re-build a mansion on the same spot and
it's considered the same house so you don't get your

Well the sign shot is funny, of course
The cabin shot is nice, but I'm trying to figure out the story...
the distance between the wall of the cabin and the tree that burnt seems
to make the cabin a very narrow one... was it perhaps a shed of some
kind? and the tree behind survived the fire..

I can't recall the relative distance between the near building wall and the
burned stump. My sense is that they were about the same distance from the
camera. Oddly, the burned stump almost seemed to have been a separate event.
I know absolutely nothing about the
