Now, where was I? Oh yeah, that's right. I wanted to know of peoples experiences with modular filter systems such as the Lee, Cokin or Hi-Tech systems. The Lee system in particular seems hideously expensive. Any comments from those in the know. I am interested in using a modular system

Message text written by INTERNET:[EMAIL PROTECTED] I am interested in using a modular system primarily on my SMC-FA* 24mm. pretty much have to go with one if you want to use a gradient ND filter. otherwise, you are stuck with the gradient in the middle. i use mine only for the gradient ND

yeah, that's pretty much what I was planning to do Herb. I have some lenses with 77mm threads, but I was mainly worried about wasting money on a series of 67 or 77mm screw ins grads which could not be easily 'rotated' on the lens. I am sure you can rotate screw ins a bit, but knowing my luck

Shaun, Rotation is not the big problem for grads, scenes not split evenly are the problem. If you ever follow the rule of thirds so that your horizon's don't split the image dead center (generally considered a no-no) then the grad can't be centered over the lens. That is why the holder is so

yeah, that's more what I meant Bruce. There are occasions when it might be necessary to rotate the horizon, but moving the graduated horizon up or down in the holder is more what I meant to say. :):):) Cheers Shaun Bruce Dayton wrote: Shaun, Rotation is not the big problem for grads, scenes
