Thanks for the nudge Ken. I've tried before, and failed, to learn how to
use a polarizer. I fiddle and turn the ring and occasionally see some
change in brightness but that is about it. I hauled out my small
collection of filters a month ago,

Stan, have you tried using a polarizer on your water shots? I use mine if I
have enough light, cuts down on the reflections.

The Heron may be here for the summer but is probably passing through. The
Robin is quite definitely here for the duration, so not really a visitor. The
Hooded Mergansers have been staying longer than I expe
