How I miss that DOF! I never used the optical viewfinder, but that
was a common complaint. You shouldn't be looking through it while you
are driving anyway, might get seasick!

The sad part is I printed out the manual while waiting for the
camera to arrive. I pitched it when I sold it.

on the CF.
It looks like you could select/edit the photos you want to keep on the XD, and
then
transfer them all to the CF by pushing a couple of buttons.

The Repair Manual is for a slightly different shutter (prob. changed the design
over the years). I will be posting some more about this on my journal, and hope
to put up something better than the factory instructions on my website within a
