suggested sending it to Erik Hendricson, I'd dealt with him before, but
discounted using him since the equipment wasn't made by Pentax. After

PJ,
I met Eric as he was winding down his career in camera repair.
He was in west suburban Chicago working part-time(?) in a business he sold(?).
I'd take my old Pentax gear to him in the mornings before work.
He 'retired' to Tennessee, but still does cameras when the farm(?) allows.
Nice guy,
He's older, I'm not semi retired, I'm under employed, and I'd like to
say I'm curmudgeonly from years of dealing with a--holes in software
development racket, but actual, I was born that way.

Frankly, my first thought is that this can't be that pricey or hard to
find of a lens and that replacement would be
The, relatively beat up cosmetically, copy that Boris found on Pentax

concrete floor the version I have /looks/ like it's in better shape.
The entire problem seems to be that it struck the floor mount first, the

Let us know how that works out.
If it's reasonably good news my Tokina AT-X Pro 28-70 will likely be
following it.

My Vivitar S1 70-210mm f2.8~4.0, the third version with the A contacts

I was going to confidently recommend Essex in New Jersey, but a net search

NOt 100% sure - but possible Photo tech on 13th street off Broadway in

KEH might be able to fix that. Sorry about your loss. That's a great lens.

Doesn't KEH use (or own) something called Peachtree? I got a Fuji folder fixed

That's good to know! There's not many people out there that will fix
old lenses. I've been half tempted to get some tools together and
start repairing old lenses myself.
I have a few nice gems that need torn apart and cleaned something

I expect that any third party lens good enough to be worth repairing is
going to be nearly impossible to replace.
