LOL. Tried some more tests witht he focus chart. Lowe angle but still close to the 45 degrees suggested. DA50 seems about 6mm BF, and A 50 is about 2mm, not as bad as i thought., However at a higher angle, the DA50 is about 15mm and the A was around 8mm. I'll send in both lenses and camera,

I think Dave might have been in even deeper shit if he had tried the hacked firmware. He has reported both autofocus and manual focus problems. They are unrelated problems. He needs professional help. He may not be getting it from Pentax Canada, but messing around with the hacked firmware
