I did a search and this seems to be my problem. I found this site:
www.pentaxcamerarepair.com and they offer $100 repair for the aperture
motor. Anyone have experience with this? Looks to be an inexpensive
fix for the K50 while I come up funds for whatever is next in line.

The most expedient fix might be one of the two cameras recently posted. The k5
would have a better sensor of the two

particular link suggested a fix - don't know if it always works but might be

Seems as if I might have an aperture motor failing on my 4 year old
K50. All images are coming out black (even ones in bright light).
I've tried multiple lenses, reset the camera settings back to the
defaults. Nothing works.
Has anyone had this before? Any thoughts? Is a 4-year old K50 worth
