I am SO envious. That FA2 makes the camera a stealth tool. Only wish I had
stocked up on the finders before they stopped last year.

We have a bag of various Leica plates if you think that'll do the trick...
As a heresy, I am trying to locate a Zenit or
similar lowend slr nameplate and glue it with double-sided tape there,
to lessen chance of stealing /attracting more attention ;-)))

Hi,
does anybody please have these two finders, could you comment on
their size side by side?
I am considering selling my FA1 finder to get an FA2, the one
without hotshoe, if it is significantly smaller and more fluent.
Does the FA2 have aperture readout window?
I don't use

Pick up one of those little hot shoe covers. Most new cameras come with them
they cut down on the chances of catching/hooking a bit but not entirely.

No, that's not completely correct. The FA-2 does not allow the aperture
to be seen, is a bit smaller, has a different shape, and lacks the hot
shoe attachment.

After Stan mentioned the sports finder for the LX after my question about

Not me. I don't pay for anyone's hassle. Further, I never want to deal with

My choice.

Arrgh!
Sorry about that private exchange in Norwegian, folks -- my fault, for
forgetting that this particular mailing list tricks my email program
into sending all replies to the list.
I'll take my discussion with Pål offline, now. :-)

The basic difference is this: hackers build
FB-1 (excellent, boxed with manual) + FD-1 (excellent): $230
FE-1 (excellent, boxed with manual): $140
The finders are hardly used and just collecting dust. Prices in US dollars.
