Since weddings came up recently I thought I'd mention one lens I use a lot:
M70-150 f/4.

This is, of course, manual focus and green button exposure, but the focus and
zoom share the same ring so you can zoom in, focus, zoom out, compose, and
shoot, all very quickly. It's really sharp wide open, has good flare
resistance, is a small and narrow lens compared to the 70-200 f2.8 stuff, and
costs around $80.

Compared to our Sigma 70-200 f/2.8, the Pentax is sharper at 70 and the Sigma
is a little sharper at the long end. The Sigma costs 10 times as much,
autofocuses well, has A mode, weighs maybe twice as much, takes much more
room in the camera bag, but is a good lens otherwise.

We have both, my wife uses the Sigma on a tripod, and since I got the Pentax
70-150 I don't feel any need for another Sigma or Pentax bazooka.
