But unlike the Pentax unit, support for the TC16 is limited to early AF
bodies. Of course Nikon introduced AF versions of the lenses this is
intended for very quickly.

My son found the Nikon 1.6x tc that allows MF lenses to be AFed.
And they go a *lot* cheaper for Nikon.
