I’ve found that K-5 files require a substantial amount of sharpening, but I
rarely apply any sharpening to K-3 files.

Lightroom, and didn't do any in Photoshop other than whatever happens
during downsizing the image.
I have to sharpen the files from Pentax WAY more.

It looks unnaturally sharp, not over sharpened, but just at the cusp.
