The first ever Air Show was held in Phalaborwa on Sat. 29/10/2016.
Unfortunately I was busy organising a Road Race so could only observe at a
distance.
Sorry, no photos, but I'll try to "steal" some.
For those who are interested, the planes I saw were:
5 Harvards which did formation flying & a few barrel rolls, etc.
What a wonderful sound - memories of my youth!
4 Pitt's specials which did the usual formation aerobatic stuff.
1 yellow Stearman Kaydet. This was the class act!
An un-identified high performance aerobatic monoplane which did some very
hair raising stuff.
An Air Force Oryx Troop Helicopter.
A fly past by 3 Grippen fighters from the Hoedspruit airbase.
All the above were visitors. They had all left by 14:00.
Some local small planes also flew around including a twin engined Ventura.
