OT - help needed with Adobe DNG converter

It's very easy to test this. I took three native RAW files into Lightroom and added keywords, then transformed them with the included preset to cyanotype renderings. I then used the Metadata-Save Metadata to Files command. This created the three .xmp files next to the native RAW files. I
