Although I was unable to attend the presentations at the GFM Camera Clinic this past weekend, I was able to give the Optio MX a bit of a workout. Both still shots and video are good, and I especially like the ability to be able to use Tv, Av and full manual. The 10X optical zoom is sweet (38-380 equivalent), however the digital zoom is worthless. I took one shot using digital zoom at 4x and was not pleased, and I didn't even consider using digital zoom above 4x. Shutter lag is pretty bad, even after prefocusing. Fill flash worked well, but I still haven't tried flash compensation, exposure compensation or flash power adjustments.
Overall I'm pleased with both results and ergonomics. Bill
