The color one is much better, naturally, because it is the fall colors that
make it. But

With the right treatment, I think it will be a stunning BW photo.
Thanks Godfrey. Glad you liked it.

Hi Ann. Thanks for looking.
My wife's job is to find photographic subjects for me. Can't let her start

Hi Marnie
Thanks for looking.
Yes, you're right. My photography has undoubtedly improved since I've been on
the list. However, my engineering background makes me want to see regular
shapes and straight lines. It's taking me a while to let my imagination run
free...

It brought to my minds nose, :-), the smell of the bush after

that smell.
Me too - don't smell it very much these days, though :-(

Hi Tom (and Ken)
Thanks for the comment. The background is a bit more dominant than I'd like
but that's what I had to work with, and moving the leaf would have caused the
water drops to be lost.
I might try rotating the image a bit to see if the composition benefits.

Hi all
This is undoubtedly clichéd but I quite like it.
It almost never happened. My wife had to point out the photographic
possibilities several times before I noticed. I'm hopeless and seeing
potential images

It's a pretty leaf and it's exposed correctly, but somehow the image lacks
excitement for me. Aesthetically, it would probably have benefited

Well, Brian, your wife has a good eye. The water droplets and the dry
looking surroundings of the leaf work together really well.
You both did a great job!
