Beautiful scene. I like how you framed that waterfall and used
foreground elements to convey the sense of it being hidden. Very nice!

Nice framing!

Yes, there are a number of nice waterfalls on the way to Hana, then
even nicer ones in the National Park, that can be reached by walking
30-45 minutes. Some of the best ones require a much longer hike,
however, but unfortunately I didn't have the time for that this time
around.

As far as I know. That's what makes it harder to get a "normal
looking" photo from them. You have to crop out a _tiny_ portion of the
center of the shot. :-)
Aren't all the shorter ones (8mm) circular fisheyes as opposed to diagonal?

Just wanted to throw in that it's easier to mask the "fisheye-ness" of
longer focal length fisheyes than shorter focal length ones. That is,
it'll be easier to take a "normal looking" shot with a 16mm FE than an
8mm FE.

I was going to post this anyway, careful subject choice will minimize
how noticeable the fisheye effect is.
Here's an example which I think does just that.

(If others don't think that well they can just complain as usual :-P ).
