Sent this yesterday, but it doesn’t seem to have shown up on the PDML. These loons were frequent visitors to the cove our cottage was on. I took this on the fifth day of our two-week stay; by the end the chick was much larger, and was sporting a white breast, and speckled white-and-black head

Thanks Eric (and others). Actually, the first one (and all of the ones in my first 5 minutes or so of shooting) was underexposed and adjusted in LR later. I had had exposure compensation set to -1.3 for some shots of the sunset the evening before. I saw the loon, came in to get my camera,
