On my trip north to the Redwoods, I arrived at Trinidad Beach just as the sun
set.
It had been a fairly warm day with minimal fog, still I was surprised to see
surfers there -- the water must have been COLD. I guess surfers are just
universally nuts.

Nicely done. This is a case where the mid-frame horizon works quite

Very nicely done, Marnie! The asymmetries balance beautifully, the

Thanks, ann. Yup, the Redwoods were fantastic and Trinidad was beautiful.
Just happenstance I hit it at the right time of day and the sky was clear. But
I
saw a lot of inredibly beautiful stuff. I'll be throwing up a Redwood Gallery
soon.
I just wasn't sure I could do it all justice, so glad

Thanks, Godders. I am, of course, responsible for the colors. ;-)

Very nice capture, I like the color captured.
I would prefer a little less black foreground a positioning of the surfer
a little bit further from the RH edge.
Keep em coming!

Nice shot - especially with the surfer in the corner. It really makes
the composition. I liked it enough to play around with it. It shows
just a little flat on my monitor. I looked at the histogram and it
looks like you could adjust it just a touch on the left side to get

Well caught!
Restful 'buttermilk' sky sets off a nicely composed evening scene.
Like it!

Thanks, Jack! Buttermilk sky is apt, I was thinking of what to call it. It

Thanks, Bruce. May try your suggestions, thanks for fiddling and making them.
