Thanks Mark. Yes, it's a pleasure to see the B17 still flying. At
Duxford there's a memorial to all of the US aircrews who were lost
during WW2. There's an image of each aircraft lost engraved on the
glass walls of the walkway leading up to the museum. Very moving.

Yes it's a T9 trainer. A number of single seaters were converted
during the 1940s as dual seat trainers to train Seafire pilots in
carrier operations. There are only a couple left, both in the UK I
think, although there is talk of a team starting manufacturing one
