I know nothing about digital memory, so why is it that you can buy 2 256MB cards for less than 1 512MB card? Also, one of Lexar's 512MB card mentions Write Acceleration (WA) technology. Is there some advantage to this technology that is worth the extra cost? Is one brand better or worse

I use an IBM 1 gig Microdrive with my DSLR. I get 318 photos of about 3 mb each in JPG Fine mode. It's plenty enough for a day's shooting at the style I shoot. If I was taking serious photos I would probably have multiple CF cards or microdrives for redundancy. I believe any card smaller than 256
