Btw, I am selling my Pentax LX SE-25 & Beattie Intenscreen Grid/Split LX/MX
for USD20, free shipping to Canada & US. The SE-25 is in mint condition
(scratch & mark free) with plastic case, tweezer & box (no manual). The
bottom edge of the Beattie was filed to fit my MX better. Slight scratches
For Z-1, get the C-74, or MZ/ZX-M screen. No, it won't interfere the AF, but
exposure compsenation might be required.
For MX, get the LX2000 screens (SE-60. SG-60, SC-69) which are brighter than
any other LX or MX screens.

I had a couple of Beattie screens which I used in my LXs. I bought the
screens 2nd-hand because they were very, very cheap. I confess I
couldn't see any difference in brightness, and was very glad I didn't
pay the excessive full price for them.

impossible to focus on plain matte field.
The new screens for LX OTOH are fantastic, fit both LX and MX and can be had for under
$30 on Ebay.
