Well, that allays that fear. The A50 1.2 has been disassembled and nothing but metal was found in the lens body. The elements are all glass. I guess the difference in weight could be in the metals used, then. Does the K perform better than the A? Is the focussing smoother? Does the aperture

Hi Shel, that would be my first guess also, plastic. But yet Pal has claimed to have completely taken apart an "A" lens and said there was no plastic inside. Since the "A" has the extra ap blade and requires more parts for the "A" setting, you would sure think the "A" would weigh more. Maybe it is
