No, I did not install Pentax converter. Also I saw distinct purple-magenta tint even on the screen of the camera itself, having taken that shot of a gray building across mine... That, I should say is something that saddened me considerably. I will do both what you suggest: try DNG and try Pentax

I generally keep my camera set at +1/3 exposure, which is good for most average situations. With a good circular polarizer on the DA* 60-250,, I've had to go +1. I've had no problems with color balance using the AWB setting most of the time. I sometimes tinker with it in conversion, but
