it might be worth suggesting that he finds an older lens of any make, and then buys a body or adapter to suit. It could save a lot of looking and be cheaper. For example, there's a 600mm Olympus here: http://www.acecameras.co.uk/asp/web/shopid/1557/default.asp with some reasonable looking bodies
