I met Dan just once in person, but we had many conversations over the years
both on the list and privately. A good guy, a pleasure to talk with. He'll be

This is hard to write... I knew a bit more about how serious his
illness was and the nature of it before he mentioned on the list that he
was going to have surgery.
We had been sharing our WORDLE answers in emails and in early March he
wrote that he ws going in for surgery and why - he asked
Sad to hear of Dan's passing, I loved the shots he shared years ago
from his time in service, an impressive fellow indeed.

That's exceptionally sad news and a complete shock. Dan was always a great
supporter of the PUG - I'll miss his contributions. I hope his portfolio in the
Pentax Photo Gallery remains online.

never managed to get together. He was indeed always kind and helpful on PDML
(was he also on the Compuserve Pentax Forum?), and in the dead of winter it was
fun to see his photos of

miss his posts here and on Facebook. I’ll even miss the daily reporting of his
Wordle score. (He was very good.) in fact he was very good at many things and
seemed to enjoy every day of his long life. Rest in peace,
This is weird - I had a friend request on Facebook from Dan only three days
ago: perhaps from the administrator of his estate and
his second FB account.
Dan was a very active PDML-er, and will be missed.
